I visited Leinster House on 29 September. Tour took 45 minutes and brought me to Dáil Éireann and Seanad Eireann, the two Houses of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament). Some of the history is fascinating, and for any Irish modern politics / modern history anoraks, this place is a must! Apparently, you have to book a tour in advance and 'drop... More

Enjoy this historic trip through Irish political history and see the Dail and Seanad chambers where key legislative decisions are made. This should be a 'must see' tour for anyone interested in current affairs or architecture (great examples as you move through the different rooms). Be sure to book in advance as the tours get booked out quickly, particularly when... More

Highly recommend this free tour. Friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and entertaining commentary by Dave. Historic chamber clearly visible, beautiful interiors especially stunning crystal chandeliers.

The guide is very informative and helpful in explaining the procedure of legislating the law in Ireland as well as the visit and gift from the President of USA to Irish parliament. Visitors are reminded not to take photos in the chambers and do dress appropriately as a sign of respect for the parliament. Do bring along photographed ID or... More

This is one of the best tourist attractions in Dublin and it's free! The ushers conduct guided tours and are extremely knowledgeable. There were only 5 in our tour and the guide tailored his information to the three nationalities represented. The building is beautiful and very well worth a visit. Highly recommended

If you get the opportunity don't miss a trip to the Dáil. We a group of 60 children, teachers and parents enjoyed a morning in the Dáil. The children learnt about the running of the house and after listening in at the Dáil a Chambers we took the tour of this beautiful and historical building.

For all of my seventeen year living in Dublin, I have probably gone past this place a thousand times, have worked in and around it, but never stopped to take a look, it is actually just part of a bigger building that houses three separate place, though all joined together and a fine square in the middle. The whole lot... More

The reviews said it was 30-40 minute tour. We had another commitment so were squeezing this in. About 45 minutes into it, we ended up having to sneak out, before it was done. Kind of bummed that we didn't get to do the whole thing.

We had a very knowledgeable guide. The best part was the Irish citizens' comments on the money being spent by the Office of Public Works.

This visit is a must if you go to Dublin, but try and go when the Dail is in sitting, the tour only takes about 40mins with the ushers but watching Dail proceedings is well worth the trip and a drink in the Dail bar. See where it all happens.
