Beautiful piece of architecture. Must-see in Dublin. Well worth working into a city tour walk! Love it!

O'Connell Bridge connects the north and south side of Dublin, crossing the River Liffey. Historically speaking, it's the only square bridge in all of Europe - it is as wide as it is long. There is a nice boardwalk off the bridge along the Liffey that runs all the way to the Ha'Penny. Grab a coffee at the coffee stand... More

So this is one of the more traditional designs of bridges along the River so it means there are many of them of a similar design. It is very nice to walk along the river though and contains the heart and soul of the city

One of those busy places in Dublin. It's iconic and has some nice history behind it! Sometimes has too many people on it but you get used to it!👍

It has a cool view, but there is a lot of traffic, and it's a bridge.... not sure there is too much going on here except for being able to cross the river.

This probaly not a stand alone attraction however combined with the many other sites and attractions of Dublin makes a wonderful day of sightseeing, something we didn't realise at first, this structure is actualy wider than it is long. Probaly a good trivia question.

This bridge comes off of O'Connell Street which is one the main shopping/eating streets. It joins the north of Dublin to the south of Dublin and you'll go over this bridge if you book onto any of the hop on and hop off bus tours.

As I mentioned in one of my reviews, O’Connell Street is one of the main streets. I walked there often and the street crosses O’Connell bridge. What a coincidence of their names matching! It is actually one of the main thoroughfares that connect the city in between the river. It has three obelisk arches constructed in granite that makes it... More

I was walking across this bridge after walking all day when I spotted the custom house on the other bank and found another exhibition to visit.
