About
Since John Jameson's brave first steps into this building in 1780, we've been focused on his ambition to create unforgettable experiences (along with great whiskey, of course). The new look Jameson Distillery Bow St. carries on this ambition through five fully guided experiences: Bow St. Experience Distillery Tour, Premium Whiskey Tasting, Whiskey Blending Class, Whiskey Cocktail Making Class, and a Cask Draw Experience in Dublin's only Live Maturation Warehouse - all of which have a firm focus on immersive storytelling. You'll be invited to touch, smell, and most importantly, taste Jameson in the original Bow St. Distillery buildings. Stay to enjoy the World’s Leading Distillery Tour at this historical landmark and tribute to the craft of Irish whiskey making!

- ChasingSun101Atlanta, Georgia283 contributionsIf you only have time for one drink tour, this is the one! Informative and interesting! Plus tasty whiskey. We visited Jameson and Guinness and prefer this one hands down. I know, it sounds crazy! But Jameson has great crowd control and lots more to learn. We actually learned something and were able to enjoy the different flavors of 3 whiskeys. The tour is interactive, mixing videos with tour guide info (Our guide, Gavin, was top-notch) and hands-on lessons. We found it to be fascinating. I don’t even drink whiskey but Jameson made a believer out of me. Highly recommend.Hi ChasingSun101, Thank you for your feedback! Our tour guide, Niall, was very good with the material and made the experience very entertaining. It is a bit theatrical, but also quite engaging. The tasting was fun as well. - JohnnieFalmouth, Massachusetts1 contributionIreland Oct 2023Good tour. Interesting info shared with us by the guide. Good whiskey. My wheel chair driving son loved the whiskey but thought that the HC bathrooms were Sub-par (door swing was too tight, he could not open the door, and operate his manual chair, and negotiate the trash barrels at the same time. Poorly designed room).... Hence the less than perfect score issued.Hi Vacation01793856370, Thank you for your feedback! - Ian BBBellevue, Washington20 contributionsA must do if in Dublin and you like WhiskeyMe and my wife did the Secret Tasting Room Experience, and this was one of the best things we did in the week we were in Dublin. We got to sit in a room and taste 3 very different Whiskeys under Jameson's label. The guide was fun and gave us a bit of history (but brief) before we got to tasting. She walked us through the flavor profiles and how to "properly" taste whiskey. This was a fun but intimate atmosphere with a dozen people and the guide and we all had fun with it. Lastly, we got to go into one of the aging rooms with all the barrels and try the 18 year Jameson Whiskey. This was easily the best whiskey we've ever had, mind blowingly delicious (and we'd have taken some home if it weren't mind blowingly expensive). The actual room was cool too and you got to see the barrels up close. Eat before you come, otherwise you might leave a bit tipsy ;)Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten October 30, 2023

Had a guided tour with whiskey tasting as a family. Our tour guide Brian was wonderfully quick-witted and entertaining and made the learning even more fun. We felt as if we got a lot from the tour, despite the relatively short duration. We definitely wish it could have lasted longer, however it was an excellent tour for the price! A nice activity for the family (for those who are over 18 of course... but even children could enjoy this!). The whiskey tasting was especially educating, and left us liking Jameson whiskey more than ever. Thank you!

Worst experience ever!!!! Don’t go here! They charged tickets to our group of 25 people, and then literaly kicked us out because we asked our tour guide just to put at least a smile when talking to us. Totally unexplainable, none of us used a single impolite word. Chery on top was that they refused to give us the money back for the tickets. I assume this happened because we are Slavic???? Shame on you Jameson Distillery Bow St.

Went to the cocktail making class with my daughter, who bought this for me for Christmas, from start to finish it was a blast. The distillery is worth a visit on it's own merit. all the staff we dealt with were great and knew their stuff. There's a whiskey bar and a great buzz.
The cocktail making course was just great fun. Our teacher and host Ciarán was brilliant, he knows not just how to make a great cocktail but also how to make a disparate group of strangers gel and have fun together. Jameson, cocktails and new friends, what can possibly go wrong? A great fun experience.

Jameson distillery is a really cool, open plan building, with a large bar area in the wooden craft style. Obviously, with ongoing covid restrictions, it can't be enjoyed in the same way, but it is a great space.
We visited last autumn to do a cocktail making class, which at the time was half price. That was incredible value for what we got for it. We learned to make whiskey sours, old fashioneds and a punch in a small and safe group.
Our instructor Kieran was a good sport and really knowledgeable, and just made the whole thing great fun. I'd love to go back in the future and try a different tour experience, or just enjoy the bar.

My father and I did the secret tastings tour and really enjoyed our visit. Our guide was quite passionate about whisky and did a great job walking us through the barrel process. It was professionally done and we thought the tour was worth the money (even though we didn’t care for all of the whiskys on offer). Just be careful when arriving at the facility - we were hassled by a drug addict outside of the complex who would not leave us alone, and our taxi driver also warned us about the neighborhood.

Aishling was a very fun & informative tour guide. The Jameson distillery tour is state of the art, with great audio, visual, and decor. We truly enjoyed it. The bar at the end is very inviting, open, and our complimentary drink at the end topped off our whiskey tasting shots quite nicely!

Jameson's whiskey is triple distilled, it is smooth as silk. When you visit the distilery, you will do a comparison tasting with whiskey from othe countries, see what you prefer. Irish whiskey is going through a boom, but it is still good value. You can visit the site of the old distilery in Dublin, but the actual distilery iss now in County Cork.

Me & my partner had planned to visit the Jameson distillery before we arrived in Dublin and were really looking forward to it - and we had a great afternoon!
Very informative tour guide, great to hear about the history of the Jameson family and how everything began and progressed throughout the years. Throughout the tour we got to learn about how Jameson is produced, the process and of course some fantastic whiskey tasting at the end of the tour. It was something we both really enjoyed doing as a couple and would 100% recommend on your first visit to Dublin. Included in the price was a delicious drink (choice of 3 various drinks) at the grog bar - I chose the whiskey, ginger beer & lime and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great venue and very nice decor, lots to look at whilst you are in the venue and lots of character. The only thing I would say is that the gift shop is rather on the expensive side which did put us off buying anything, but thoroughly enjoyed our couple of hours there.

Signed up for a whiskey and chocolate tasting experience here. It was quite expensive but we decided to splurge like we were rich people and im happy to say it was well worth the money ! The speciality chocolates made by the local chocolatier to pair specifically with the whiskeys we tasted were delicious. The whiskeys we tried were all so smooth and it was pretty cool trying some of these very expensive/premium whiskeys. I am not a drink hard liquor straight kind of person but I had zero problem finishing off the whiskeys. We also were able to pull whiskey from one of the production barrels which is part of a blend they only release once a year at the storehouse and it was so cool to do and try. Our experience guide was very knowledgable, relaxed and was passionate about what he was doing and the information that he was sharing. I’m so bad with names but a shoutout to him from the 12/9/23 experience at 17:15. Best of all the tasting was held in their barrel production room which was kind of amazing to experience the tasting in. Of course the good whiskey put us all in a good mood and the atmosphere was comfortable enough to laugh and have fun with the 6 other people in our group and our tasting leader kept the atmosphere fun and light. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Dublin and if you’re feeling high end/bougie and you want to do something that feels special, it’s definitely worth dropping the extra cash for. The whiskey cocktails we had at the decked out Christmas bar were also outstanding. There seems to be quite a few different tour experiences and tasting things here, the one we did was definitely worth it and one of the highlights of our trip.

So, we took this tour first thing in the morning (10am), and it was therefore also the first tour of the morning. The first few minutes we were just wandering around near the starting point when they made sure that all who were coming had arrived and then our guide Beyonce (just kidding! Our guide was Rhianna) collected us together and took us to the first room. The table worked as a video screen - only it did no work and after several tries Rhianna took us to alternative room and after two tries there we got started. She took it all with grace and good humour and our experience was in no way hindered by the initial porblems. The tour lasted about 45 minutes ending with a whiskey tasting. We tried three different whiskeys by Jameson and Rhianna explained them and answered our questions. It was a very enjoyable experience and once the tour was over we could stay in the bar for a spell and enjoy our grog. Now, I must point out that Jameson's is no longer an active distillery, so if that is what you want to see, there are working distilleries in Dublin, too, but this was a good tour, good lesson in history and the lenght was about just right.

Yes they do. They ask you before the tour starts if you trink alcohol. If you don't they serve you softdrinks.
I'm not sure about mocktails.

All the tours I can purchase are for 12 pm or later. We have a commitment in the afternoon so 12 doesn't work. If we arrive at 10 am, what are chances we could get into an early tour?
Written September 17, 2023
The day we were there, tours were full and they were not letting additional people join in. Keep looking for cancellations, but I’d at least be sure to call them and ask rather than just showing up. The customer service staff there was amazingly nice and helpful.

Can you buy a customized bottle of Jameson's and have it shipped back to the USA?
Written April 19, 2023
They were definitely etching bottles, but I believe the cost of shipping might be steep. We were advised to buy it at a duty free store, as it would be less expensive but not personalized.
