Great Traditional Pub

Interesting rooms and some nice snugs. Great gastro pub style food and nice beers. Big TV's for sports fans.

Wanted to find a place that had the Old Dublin charm. I was not disappointed. From the nicely partitioned bars to the small cozy tables and the friendly staff, this was off to a great start for me. Then add the wide selection of brews and ales with a wonderfully balance menu between old irks and modern quinine, and I... More

Dropped by at the end of a long day for a quick bite and a few Guinness's. Sheppard' Pie was very tasty. Not dry at all. Carrot and potato soup was excellent. Great locale as well. Still has a cordoned off area for women -- a throw-back to the old days. Service was friendly, bill was so reasonable.

This is the real deal. A quintessential Dublin pub that is really well maintained and spotless. The front bar is as it was 100 years or more ago. The back where they also serve the food is a modern addition. Beers and spirits are what you would expect with a few craft beers by bottle but draught beers are mainstream.... More

Had a great couple of hours here. Lovely little snug, friendly staff and a great pint or two of Guinness. Well worth a visit.

Very nice place with a great atmosphere. Visited here for food and ordered a platter and a few side dishes, portions were very generous and we were surprised when we got the bill as we expected to pay more for it. They have a great range of craft beers on tap as well as bottled. The staff were very friendly... More

A friend and I went here on a recommendation of good food. The prices are really fair and the food was cooked perfectly. They do accept credit cards but much easier to pay in cash. You can't tip on a credit card.

Went for lunch and as always it was fab. The menu is a great mix and there is something for everyone and along with their daily specials - you can't go wrong. Plenty of places to hide out in here; upstairs, downstairs and out the back, lots of little snug areas to while away the time. Reasonable prices, good quality,... More

Went to this classic for a few pints with a group of friends o a rainy evening in March. Place was busy as usual but we managed to find a table in the main bar and settled in for a chat. Sampled some of the whiskey offerings and put the fire out with some perfectly drawn pints. Life was good... More
