Day trip to Dun Laoghaire is something you don't want to miss if you are staying in Dublin area for a couple of days. Small town located next to Dublin with a vibrant city center, beautiful pier walk, enriched with fantastic restaurants with a sea view. It's possible to book a boat tour on the pier too. During the summer many of cultural and artistic programmes are happening on and near pier. On the other side of a beach there is James Joyce cultural center. For the art and sea lovers, National Maritme Museum is in amid of Dun Laoghaire. Perfect day trip from Dublin.

One of my all time favorite places in Dublin. Both piers worth visiting and taken a relaxing walk up and back. Very picturesque and plenty of places to rest and enjoy the stunning views and to relax. A must do when visiting Dublin.

Arrived in Dun Laoghaire yesterday to go for a walk, it is no longer car friendly and the traffic is a disaster here now. It’s still a Beautiful area and lovely for a walk but if you have to drive there for your walk avoid

lovely place for a walk but don't spoil it by getting fish and chips from the shack on the pier! I ate there on Monday night and have spent the last 24hrs being violently sick. really not a pleasant experience, steer well clear.

As a regular walker on Dun Laoghaire Pier I was horrified at the state of the Public Toilets at the end of the Pier on Sunday 19th July last whilst walking with friends. I find it embarrassing as a resident to think of any visitors needing a public convenience at this wonderful peaceful place. I have to say I am ashamed to think in this day and age that this is allowed to happen.

A walk along Dun Laoghaire Pier blows away the cobwebs and refreshes both your heart and your soul. Nothing beats the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks

The only art gallery on Howth pier, a stroll around his workshop is a perfect way to finish a pier walk. Alan McLeod's work is simply fabulous. I bought a painting and a print from Alan for my home & I absolutely love them. He is a very talented artist & a nice guy too!

I walk Dunlaoighre East Pier on a fairly regular occasion. It is a fabulous place to walk and lovely and flat for people like me that would find hills difficult to walk. On sunny days it is spectacular looking out towards Howth and then back towards Dunlaoighre seafront. In the summer months it’s has a coffee and ice cream area down at the tower end which is great to treat the children. Wrap up well though if it is a cold and windy day, as you are very exposed to the elements.

Two piers ... East and West nice place to walk your dog and some great views. Dunlaoghaire charges for parking which is annoying.
