Visit Inishbofin, it's a spectacular island about 40 minutes on a ferry from Cleggan (€20 Return, 2-3 Daily). There are 3 loop walks. We did the Eastern and Western walks, both offered beautiful scenery, and were approx 2-3 hours long each, very manageable even if...More

If you're looking to escape the rat race fora few hours get the ferry to Inishboffin from Cleggan pier. Half an hour or so will find you on the island. The scenery is magnificent, the well signposted walks are just challenging enough to be interesting,...More

We spent two nights on Inishbofin and enjoyed every minute. Inishbofin House Hotel was great - clean rooms, plenty of hot water, friendly helpful staff, good food, luggage carried to and from ferry - all good.

We decided to do Inishbofin v. the Aran Islands since the ferry was right there where we were staying in Cleggan. This is an unspoiled, hidden gem. We walked a path and were astonished by some of the most beautiful scenery I have seen in...More

I went to Inishbofin on a day trip yesterday; I had no idea what to expect. I got the ferry from Cleggan and, although I often get travel-sick, I survived the bus trip from Galway and the 30-minute ferry trip no problem. I found the...More

This place is really beautiful and nice to discover in a 1-day trip. Advice: rent a bike and have a picnic there (if weather allows)
