A wonderful cathedral to visit. It opened in 1965 and is one of the largest and most impressive buildings in Galway. The most impressive parts were the architectural design inside and the beautiful stained glass windows. A must-see attraction when visiting Galway.

Visited galway cathedral on a sunday & was awed by it. Great architecture. Intricate details. Attended mass as well. Church is very huge on the inside thou it doesn't seem so from the inside.

A lovely architectural space to visit and admire, sit and pray. I love the stained glass windows and marble altars. A lovely place to take your kids for Sunday mass.

We toured this cathedral and found it quite lovely. It was a little confusing trying to get out. We ended up going out the same door we came in.

This beautiful cathedral is newer construction, not one of the ancient churches. But despite its newer age it is a gorgeous cathedral and the glass is stunning with an organ that is massive. Definitely worth a visit and a walk around. I took some really...More

Gorgeous architecture. So huge- massive and beautiful structure. Wood work on the ceiling, paintings on the walls, tinted painted windows. Historic and beautiful. Must visit.
