After navigating the crowds on Galway's shopping street on a sunny Saturday afternoon, this path along the river offered a peaceful moment and some great views. It leads to Galway's splendid Cathedral.

We were coming back from visiting the Galway Cathedral and walked along the River Path down to the Wolf Tone Bridge. Nice and peaceful walking path.

Walking along the canals in Galway is delightful in warm sunny weather. There are no fish to speak of.

Enjoy a nice walk along river and canal in beautiful Galway. At the east end is the Cathedral, a modern but still lovely pile of stones. At the south end is Galway bay, the Latin Quarter, and the historic Spanish Arch(es).

We had arrived in Galway toward evening, so once we checked into our B & B, we headed down onto Quay Street. Then, we made our way over to the Riverside walk. It was beautiful. We got some great photos.
