The beach, the mountains, and the quaint shops, Aquarium, amusement parks and casinos near the beach, what's not to like? About the only complaint would be the August water temperature, but I saw several people with wetsuits enjoying the water.

Pick morńing hours to avoid crowd. Dont forget raincoat- even in August. Path towards golf course is really nice.

John Walsh graciously allowed brief stop to view this lovely area. Just a quick local tour but delightful stories and commentary by this well known Galway personage. Singing of Galway Bay is added treat.

Great beach but had recently had a storm so there was a lot of seaweed on the beach which is not normal at this time of year but nice and clean.

although the weather wasn't quite so nice, there were plenty of young people availing of the diving facilities. have done this before and it is great fun and very safe.

i am from the south of the USA, the water just looked cold. the area just looked like a typical resort beach.

A lovely promenade that runs from just outside of Galway city centre for about 5 Km to the pier / diving boards.

Could do with some tlc..proper showers. Not really a place would spend the day, rather drive out a bit to some quiet nicer sandy beaches. Everyone walking by on the prom starring down so makes for an uncomfortable sunbathing day. Lovely for a walk on...More
