A lovely walk where you will see a monument for the famine, a word of warning : if you walk the length of the pier hoping to access the lighthouse at the end, entry is not permitted.

Don't be discourage if folks on Galway say it is too far to walk, it is a piece of cake. The promenade is beautiful with the crashing waves and the wind blowing you around...kidding, but windy and cold. Best oysters ever at two of the restaurants across the street!

It's probably one of the most relaxing areas in Galway. Just to walk on the promenade is a pleasure in it selve. People love this walk and you have shops and restaurants near by. Just love this area.

Walk the prom. Kick the wall. Breathe in the fresh air. Soak up the views. So close to the city. Really well kept and clean. Wish I lived closer to it!

Love this place. It's definitely a must when visiting galway. There's parking in the main car park but it's easy enough to get parking nearby.

It's like a social experience for dogs ! The Prom is a place to walk, clear the head, take in the sunshine (when available!) and enjoy a coffee / snack when you're done walking !

Salthill prom provides stunning views over Galway Bay and the Burren across the distance. Great flat walking prom. The breeze gets the cobwebs out of your hair. Swimming, platform diving & fishing are there to be whenever it suits yourself. Great for the lone thoughtful thinker!
