A nice bit of History

My wife has always been interested in these rings, the history, etc. A must see when in town. not too big but interesting. Makes for a nice stop while walking the street.

The Claddagh Ring Museum is a small room at the back of the Claddagh jewelry store, and it's worth a stop. The history of the revered claddagh ring is shown in photos and storylines. Also includes letters and correspondence with various famous people who have a connection with the claddagh ring and related items. (no admission charged)

Wish they had more room and better lighting. So very much history confined in a small space. I could have easily spent more time but felt I had to get out of the way. It deserves more space.

This store is the Original Claddagh ring shop since the 1750's , the museum at the back is the most delightfully interesting lil place, gives you the history of the Orignal Claddagh and shows how it evolved and it has the worlds tiniest made one under a microscope so you can see it. Definitely worth a visit and they have... More

The shop and the museum are small, but the story of the ring explained in a film is interesting and it gives your purchase a totally different twist. If you want to bring something special for a person you love or just treat yourself this is the shop to go to.

As you walk along Quay Street, the little shop with the Claddagh Ring Museum in the back is located right on a corner. You can't miss it. The museum is small and very interesting with it's history of the Claddagh area and the ring that bears it's name. For me, it's the ONLY place to purchase Claddagh jewelry. Their rings... More

The place was packed with people buying rings and we located the "museum" portion in a back room. It was interesting to see the history and all the rings, but space was at a premium.

Very small but very interesting if you are interested in the history of the ring and the area it is named after.

We walked in and quickly looked over the exhibits. I felt the museum was a lure to get people into the jewelry shop.
