Wonderful little pub!

Super crowded, but if you can handle that, then you will love it. The music is fantastic and the beers are reasonable. The staff are great too :)

Visited Tig Coili on St Patrick's weekend with a few friends who were musicians. They played great traditional Irish music and the crowd loved it. Many complimented there playing and tourists were taking photos and videos. It was great. The bar man was simply rude. No appreciation at all considering they brought life to the bar. The turned a CD... More

Our B&B host recommended this pub and all I can say is....go there! Best pint of Guinness, traditional irish music, happy and friendly people...can't ask for much more! Happiest place on earth, at least for me!

Traditional music, sometimes 4 or 6 or even more in the off the cuff 'band' ! Good mixture of locals and tourists, bar prices a little steep but I suppose someone has to directly or indirectly pay for the music ! Very simikar to Taafes across the road, excellent scene.

We loved Ireland and especially this little bar. A group of about 9 Irish musicians arrived and started playing traditional Irish music together. The staff was friendly and attentive and we had a great time. It is located in a nice area in Galway and it feels safe at night to walk around the streets.

Celebrated my daughters birthday evening here for drinks. It gets very crowded. There are lots of rooms and bars. A fun place for The artsy local crowd. Decorated with paintings and photos all over.

We were here for two nights of traditional Irish music. It was absolutely sublime. The beer and service were great, too. This is an authentic Irish pub. It wasn't built for bus load tourism. Space is at a premium. Get there early if you want a good seat.

There was nothing fancy about this location, other reviewers were correct when they said it was small. That's where it ends....because this is the real deal. As we enjoyed this location having a cold Guinness, we were treated to some local talent. They were great. Then some great conversation and Irish hospitality with a lovely professor from the University at... More
