Quirky Pub in Galway Center

Great looking pub and the atmosphere is fantastic however on almost every occasion I have found the staff to be extremely rude and unfriendly. Basic manners and enthusiasm is required when your dealing with the public and this has been lacking on more than one instance. I can forgive and understand if it's really busy but when it's quiet it's... More

Dropped into this pub in the centre of Galway and it was really worthwhile. Tigh Neachtains is a REAL Irish pub where you can sample a lovely Guinness (and more)whilst savouring the bustling atmosphere and watch people from all nationalities and ages come and go. If you're lucky enough to be there when the guy comes in to play a... More

This is a very quaint bar, full of nooks & crannies. It is a talking bar, with no TVs to distract. Just a bit of old fashioned craic. It is quite small but well worth a visit, possibly at a not so busy time of the day.

We popped in on a Wednesday afternoon while visiting Galway and there was a nice atmosphere. There seemed to be a nice mixture of tourist and locals. I love the traditional decor

visitied on a Sunday night and we were blown away by the fantastic Jazz Music - totally unexpected. Always a great atmosphere, which on this occasion was enhanced by the music

This is my favourite pub in Galway. The little snugs are ace and so cosy. We sat by the fire and wasted the afternoon away in perfect comfort.

Cozy little pub in Galway center. I could sit in one of the cozy snugs all day and watch the day go by. We had a nice lunch which was made by the restaurant upstairs. It was a quiet weekday afternoon but we had good service and a good Guinness pour. Would definitely go back next time through town.

Naughton's is a fabulous traditional pub, nooks and crannies everywhere and covered in posters from festivals over many years. We went for lunch on a cold November day just before leaving Galway and while Naughton's has atmosphere in spades the food was a disappointment. The menu is very short with soup and chowder, a couple of main courses and a... More

On my way home from my Sunday trip to the Aran Island I stop randomly for having a Whisky. After a while and a Guinness I was surrounded by a lot of friendly people, the band began to play and I finally got home a bit later as planned. To put it in a nutshell, a great venue to have... More

Came here after a dinner with my GF after a bottle of wine. Refused service. Staff were unacceptable
