Nice hiking around the visitor center. The drive through that area is very different than the rest of Ireland due to the terrain/bogs. It's worth the trip. Take caution when driving due to lots of hikers.

Spent a lovely couple of hours doing the lower diamond walk. Well signposted and energetic enough for our bundles of energy (girls of 10 and 7) to satisfy their need to climb rocks and squelch through bogs!

A great day trip spot. Amazing views from the mountain Diamond Hill. There is a trail the whole way so it is safe. Strenuous climb but worth it for the 360 views. Picnic area and coffee shop at the base of the mountain.

The paths are comfortable width to walk. You will need to step aside to let people walking down to pass you at some points. No worries with safety.

There are different loops but I believe the red is 4km but you need to take the blue trail to get there which is another 3km
