    Terrific experience
I booked this as a surprise and unique experience for my wife and I while visiting Killarney. Patrick met us at the farm site and spent the hour educating us on each bird. We flew one hawk and three owls. I highly recommend for any age!!

    Unforgettable Experience
Our visit to Falconry Kerry was one of the best experiences that we had during our recent trip to Ireland. Being able to learn about these amazing birds up close was incredible. I had a few questions before we booked and Liam was responsive and helpful. The young woman who was the falconer was knowledgeable and patient. We did this activity with a group of 4 adults and are so glad that we did!

Best experience in all of Ireland!
Falconry Kerry is my favorite experience in all of Ireland. Until you’ve experienced a bird of prey with a 4 to 5+ wingspan fly towards your head and land right on your hand, you have not lived! You will cherish the experiences for the rest of your life! My guide was Kira, very knowledgeable about all the birds I met—eagle, hawk, owls.

    The most epic experience ever
The absolute best experience ever. This was my 40th birthday bucket list trip. Patrick made today one of the best ones of my life. I cannot thank you guys enough. Forget all the other falconries, this is the one you must book. I just cannot quit smiling.

    Great experience
My brother and I were looking for something to do in between 2 places on our trip. We found this online and glad we did because we were not disappointed. We met with Mira who not only was great with the birds but extremely informative. We had a blast, learned alot, and took some great pictures!

Fun to meet James, Leah, and Puka -- three amazing birds!
Such a magnificent experience. Patrick quickly involved us into learning about and interacting with James (a Harris Hawk), Leah (a giant owl), and Puka (an Irish barn owl). A highlight of our visit to Killarney and a must-do experience for anyone interested in wildlife!

Do yourself a favor, book a time
What a wonderful experience! The birds were amazing, Liam was exceptional and we all had a great time. My wife, 15 year old son and myself learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the birds. Would gladly go back

    Awesome Falconry Experience
First off, Liam was vert accommodating in making our booking. Patrick was our bird handler and was personable and informative. Three birds, a hawk named Erica and two owls named Cookie and Puka, simply wowed us. Each bird has their own personality easily identified. From start to finish, this experience was awesome.

    Don't miss this!
Mira welcomed us at the car with open arms and an owl to start this awesome experience! She was knowledgeable about all aspects of the birds and it was great! I will admit I was a bit nervous about doing the hawk experience, but there was nothing to be nervous about. With the 4 of us who did the experience, there is ample opportunity and time to spend with the hawk and the owls. Mira answered all of our questions and made us comfortable from the beginning. I would highly recommend this experience for something unique to do. The pictures were awesome!!!

Amazing introduction to falconry — Falconry Kerry, Co. Kerry Ireland
What a fantastic experience! My wife and I were fortunate enough to have booked a private adventure one on one with a falconer and four stunning birds…two falcons and two owls. Our intro to this world was entered with some trepidation however Mira, an extremely talented falconer, was extremely patient with us. Her clear explanations and thoughtful insights made both of us feel confident and safe. Mira told us exactly what to expect…and our expectations were greatly exceeded! We learned so much (who knew that owls can’t smell?). We got amazing slo-mo videos of these magnificent creatures flying directly at us and then landing gently on our gloved hands (there was of course a chicken reward in our gloves at the end of each flight…thank goodness!). Our time at Falconry Kerry was truly the highlight of our wonderful ten days in Ireland. Many thanks to Mira and Liam for allowing us to absorb memories which will not be forgotten. By all means, when in Ireland, visit Falconry Kerry. You won’t regret it is an understatement!

My family and I had an absolutely brilliant time. We had 5 grown adults normally interested in all sorts but in this case, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! Liam was so quick to respond to my enquiry and was so pleasant to deal with. The birds are simply magnificent and Liam was easily able to answer any question we threw at him (there were many) given we were completely taken by the gorgeous birds. It's clear Liam takes great pride in his work and truly loves what he does. Would highly recommend, great experience, and would love to go back again!

We had such a great time visiting Falconry Kerry. Liam was so lovely to deal with and you can clearly see he has a real passion for all the birds and enjoys his job. It was a very relaxed environment as you stroll through the fields and Liam tells you all about the birds. We got to meet George the Harris’ Hawk , Fred the African Eagle Owl, Puca the Barn Owl and Liath the Great Gray Owl and they were amazing. Highly recommend to visit while down in Killarney if you’re looking for something different to do ☺️ It was our favourite part of our trip ☺️

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Katie! She made sure my sister and I had an absolutely incredible time, while answering all of our questions with her excellent knowledge and experience (while also being patient with our delighted oohing and ahhing.) It was clear that her first priority was the safety and well-being of the beautiful birds, and at the same time I felt like she also focused on making sure my sister and I both had plenty of 1:1 time with each bird and making sure we had a phenomenal time. It was one of the highlights during our trip to Ireland and I would 100% recommend the Hawk Walk with Falconry Kerry

It was so much fun! Guide Liam was excellent and explained how the birds are trained while we walked through a beautiful area and the birds flew off then returned to land on our gloves. Great experience with a hawk and 2 kinds of owls who were lovely and well-trained. Each had its own personality and it was amazing to see up close how they control their wings and flight.

A visit to the area would never be complete without the falconry experience. Our group of 20 were absolutely thrilled to meet the birds up close and learn about them. It is clear that the handlers truly care about them, too - they are as committed to them as they could be.
Every participant in the experience will be able to put on a glove and have a falcon, hawk, and owl land on them - and feed them. The birds seem to know they are impressing us, and they certainly show off their personalities.
Do not miss the opportunity to meet these incredible creatures and their handlers. It will make your trip all the more memorable!

We spent about an hour with Liam, a falcon, 3 owls and 4 alpacas and it was an hour that I am sure our two daughters (9 and 12) will remember for years to come.
Liam was incredibly friendly, and did a great job of making everyone comfortable while explaining quite a bit about falcons, falconry owls and eventually the alpacas.
My only concern is that we did it in the first 1/3 of our trip and it will be the standard by which we judge everything else and the bar is now set incredibly high!

My mother and I had a wonderful time at Falconry Kerry! We were able to fly multiple birds, including two Hawks, and an owl. Our falconer was very patient and knowledgeable! We also had a wonderful time feeding the alpacas while we waited for set up I would definitely recommend making a trip to this falconry

This was a fantastic activity. My grandkids were ecstatic being able to have the birds land on their hands...something that you only get to see the trainers do in other similar activities we've attended. Of course the parents and grandparents enjoyed the interaction as well. Liam's knowledge of the birds and their behavior was thorough and his sharing was educational and enjoyable. This experience was both appropriate and captivating for all three generations of our family. My recommendation is to book this activity as well as the Killarney Bee Walks - the bee farm is literally next door.

My girlfriend and I had a great time with Liam and his entourage of beautiful birds. We met Erin (Harris Hawk), Gabriel (Gyrfalcon), Pukka (barn owl), Cookie (african spotted eagle-owl) and Dusty (eurasian eagle-owl) who all blew us away.

Liam was a fountain of knowledge and had a wonderfully relaxed demeanour with a sense of humour to boot. There were no questions he wasn't able to answer and it's clear that he has a great passion for what he does. Heartily recommend to birding enthusiasts and people who just love animals!

We even had a cameo from some wild buzzards in the distance and fed some alpacas!

We would have stayed all day

If you are even a casual bird person, the personalized hawk walk at Falconry Kerry is something you really ought to consider. The birds are sociable, the handlers are absolutely wonderful (I can't tell you how much I loved the way Patrick spoke to the owls and the hawk as if they were his kids, and how he'd also get the same goofy delighted smile we did when working them. It meant a lot to us).

Plus. HOLY MOLEY SO COOL! It's amazing to get so close to any bird the size of Gandalf or Jesse, who are obviously in great health and sure seem like if they wanted to they could put the hurt on, and have the chance to feel them land on your arm (gloved up of course) and see the neato things that make them uniquely adapted to their environment up close and personal. Harris hawks are social and hunt in groups. Jesse liked to steal gloves and hide them. Williow the barn owl actually wiggled with anticipation when she heard the bag of owl goodies crinkling.

It was a really neat experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Also, please make sure it's Falconry Kerry, out in Inchycullane, that you are booking with and showing up for. Apparently there is a fairly similarly named falconry site but they operate quite a bit further out from Killarney center (Falconry Kerry is less than ten minutes, even with traffic). We had to take a taxi so I just pointed to the address that Liam had given when he booked us (had no idea how one pronounces Inchycullane), which was definitely a huge relief to the taxi driver as well because she did have stories about getting halfway to the other place when folks realized that wasn't where they made the appointment.

So worth it.
