We booked bikes and boat (GapofDunloeTours) to cycle through the Gap of Dunloe.
We were greeted by two welcoming people and were given full safety rundown and even a packet of sweets to keep our sugar levels up throughout the long cycle.
We had never ventured up the mountain before and we were put at ease with detailed instructions on how to safely navigate the roads, and most importantly where to stop for hot tea and food along the way!
It was the welcome we needed after waking up to a dark and rainy morning ahead of a full day planned outside.
Cycling experience necessary for the Gap of Dunloe route.
Highly recommended.

I rented a bike from Killarney Bike Rental earlier this week, to cycle the Ring, and I cannot recommend them strongly enough. They are great. The bike I hired was excellent and Dave gave me plenty of brilliant tips before I set off. He even loaned me a hi-vis jacket which came in very handy when the weather got misty. Brilliant service.

Very good quality bikes. The cycle route was lovely, highlight of our trip. The park is so big I would recommend cycling it with this company. They’re in a great location and the owner/ staff and good craic and very helpful!

We rented 2 electric bikes and had a wonder day visiting Dinis Cottage, Torc Waterfall, Muckross House & Abbey and Ross Castle. Bikes were excellent and owner gave clear and detailed instructions and safety advice. Very professional, friendly and helpful team. Highly recommended!

Biking around the lake was my favorite part of staying in Killarney. Absolutely beautiful. Added bonus - the gentleman working the rental was extremely entertaining! And very nice about letting us return the bikes at our convenience.

We rented bikes to travel around the park and we were so glad we went with this rental service. The bikes were in excellent condition and perfect for the sometimes not so forgiving terrain. Lads working there are also a bit of fun and give great tips of where to go and what to see. We managed to cover over 20km so really tested out the saddle for comfort.

I took the Loch Lein and Gap of Dunloe Boat & Bike package. Completely awesome, very beautiful. I didn’t catch the name of the man who worked at Killarney Bike Rental who set me up with my bike, but he was great. If you like biking as a way to see a lot without having to be in a car, this is perfect.
Notes on the difficulty of the ride. I have not biked much in a long time, so I was pretty sure I would end up hiking my bike on the incline of the gap. The uphill portion is short enough that you can easily hike that part and still have plenty of time for a leisurely pace on the rest of the ride. I could have even fit more in than I did. All that said, they are right that you should have some good experience and comfort biking (mine has been mostly as a bike commuter).
They also provided a dry saddle bag and offered to hold my luggage, which was great. And even if it is not raining, bring a rain jacket or similar for the boat ride. The boat is small (which I liked a lot) and you will get splashed.
I highly recommend.

We (two seniors, two adults, two teenagers) rented bikes to tour Killarney National Park. Killarney Bike Rental explained everything we needed to know upon our arrival at their facility. Two of the bikes we rented were electric bikes which made the trip to the National Park exceedingly easy. Fun, too!

We got bikes and cycled around Muckross lake. The paths were hilly but good and the views fantastic. Keep a few hours free though as it's nice to have the time to stop in the lake tea house.
