It's too far to walk to from Killarney city center, but a taxi was only 10 euros. The tour of the house was nice, good history, beautiful furnishings, and we even got to see the kitchen (often my favorite part in history), and the bells that all those servant bell-pulls connect to. Interesting! The gardens are beautiful, and the greenhouses.... More

Muckross has an interesting history and is well maintained by the Irish government. On the day we came it was cold and sprinkling a bit but the gardens and the lake showed well. I would highly recommend a stop for a few hours.

The horse and buggy tour is a tourist trap for sure, but my mom and I were glad we did it. The tour guide, Tommy, was hilarious, and he made sure to point out the best photo opportunities. The views were amazing as well.

Great house! Bummed that not everything was opened as far as the farm but defiantly worth it to see everything else. I would note that the tour guide may have been drinking as he smelt of either vodka or gin and he was slower at speaking...

I've been a few times in that place and it really worth. There are a few trails where you can walk around, it's amazing for taking pictures, walk with dogs, cycling, jogging and relaxing. It's located right in the town centre area with loads of nature to enjoy all the way.

Was intrigued as they told me of the 3 farms they have demonstrating farming thru the ages. We were there in November - off season took a horse jaunty to get there. Farms were closed :( and you had to take a guided tour to see house and the hourse Jaunty ride did not allow enough time to do that.... More

Due to a time constraint, we decided to hire a jaunting cart to take us through the park to see Muckross Abbey, House and Gardens and Torc Waterfall. It was a wise decision for us in the circumstance BUT you can drive from location to location and better yet, if time permits, walk it! As it was a gorgeous day,... More

One of my favorite places to visit in Killarney. Such a great house and the traditional farm is amazing. A great day for anyone including children.
