The cottage right on the edge of town is at the gateway to the National Park. The cottage serves as a charity tea room which was not open on our visit but the exterior detail took up out time studying the detail of the exterior.
The Knockreer Estate has a variety of walking paths ranging in their length from 1km to 6km. The paths are well maintained with beautiful views of neighboring landscapes and mountains.
There are no restrooms nearby. The old lodge tea room does not open until April.

The thatched roof is unusual and interesting. This house is located in Killarney National Park. Viewing it can be part of your "stroll" through the park. Other reviewers mentioned the interior of the house. The house was not open when we visited it.
