The restored castle brings you back in time. What an excellent find just outside Killarney. An evening trip with the view of the lake and no crowds was worth the wait.

We were looking forward to a boat trip to Lord Brandon’s cottage. Three boats free but wouldn’t go due to low water. We understand this. Then a 4th boat was fully booked to make the trip to Lord Brandon’s cottage. If this scenario is temporary...More

The tour was very informative. The kids connected pieces of information they learned here to other places we visited while in Ireland.

Ireland has more castles than one can imagine, next to blarney, and the Rock of Cashel- Ross castle is my favorite. The scenery around it is amazing. They will let you climb the sides around it as well which kept the kids on our trip...More

Beautifully located on the lake, the castle is a great place for families to search the castle and then perhaps have a picnic. Lots of feathered wildlife to amuse the kids.

We loved walking around the castle and then hopping a boat from the castle over to Innisfallen Island, and we don't mind paying to tour places such as this because it goes towards upkeep -- however we don't like having to do a guided tour....More

The Ross Castle B&B is in Oldcastle County Meath and not the one in Killarney. There is a disclaimer in their website.

You cannot have any food or drink out during your tour however there are lovely areas outside to eat and enjoy the brilliant views.
