We're so pleased you enjoyed your visit. The wooden ceiling is a traditional form of structure in older churches. The roofs of early churches were built by carpenters who'd been engaged in building large wooden war ships; they used the same structural techniques as for...More

We really appreciate knowing that your visit to our church give you a sense of peace and serenity. That's partly due to the many years of prayer which are offered in churches. Many people find their prayer is inspired by the pictures of Bible stories...More

Thank you for your review. The cats have taken up occasional residence in the churchyard, we’ve no idea where their homes are. The concert was a local inititiate—under the banner of the national Culture Night—between an Irish traditional musician/singer and some of his African colleagues....More

Thank you for your visit and your review. The wooden ceilings of many early churches are made in the style of and with the same craftsmanship as the early naval wooden-hulled ships. That is why the main part of the church is called the "Nave".

Thank you for your review. We are particularly pleased you liked our stained glass windows. Most of them were installed in about 1880; they were gifted to the church by the Herbert family of Muckross House—whose patronage the church enjoyed—and particularly by Jane, Countess of...More
