Right in heart of the city center is this place. We didn't go inside but the grounds are wonderful to walk through, take a seat and enjoy the crisp air. There are several entrances to the gardens so you can exit into town quickly

We paid a visit to newly restored Killarney House en route to the larger, better-known Muckross House. The houses are connected via marriage and the story of Killarney House is equally interesting (the current house is in a converted stable block, which replaced the rather...More

We happened on this house while walking into town from our hotel for dinner. It's free admission, and you're made to feel very welcome. We were fortunate to arrive just as a guided tour was set to begin. Our guide was a former employee of...More

This place has recently opened but not all rooms open for view yet but would highly recommend a visit. Fascinating insight and part of Killarney history.

Right in the town centre, this newly refurbished house was great to visit. Our guide Margaret was knowledgeable and entertaining, lovely to be shown round by someone who remembered the house and former owners from her own childhood. Gardens amazing too, but we only saw...More

Beautiful reception area and the house was beautiful and well preserved. The tour unlike muckross was less close up as you are kept behind the ropes but this is to protect the exhibit. this tour is at an early stage so it will be a...More

We read about the restoration work done here and wanted to visit. It is within easy walking distance of the town. Entry to the gardens and house is free. The house was a private residence which the state acquired but it was allowed to become...More
