brilliant

Brilliant road down from Molls gap with plenty of views and feelings of the past, although narrow in places.

If your driving this is a fun drive to take the scenery is outstanding and there places to stop and walk down to the lakes and couple of places to stop for coffee.

Probably, one of the best drives in Ireland is the Killarney - Muckross House - Old Kenmare Road - Molls Gap - Blackwater Valley - Gap of Dunloe - Kate Kearney's Cottage - Killarney. Takes about 2-3 hours with great stop offs (Muckross House, Molls Gap, Ladies View, Kate Kearney's Cottage). Essential tick list for any Killarney trip.

This is the back road from Kenmare to Killarney. It is the best way to see the natural beauty of Killarney. The roads are narrow, but you are at a much higher elevation than the Gap of Dunloe. Stunning views and natural sights like Molly's Gap, the Ladies View, and the Torc Waterfall. We drove on our own car, but... More

We chose to visit Kenmare from Killarney - returning the same day. As we departed, a light rain started and by the time we reached Kenmare it was pouring to say the least. The road requires attention and a competent driver. The views - even in rain - are spectacular. Ladies View and Moll's Gap are 2 well documented pull... More

This is a must to be able to explore West Cork and further locations. The drive is breathtaking. Take your time as there are many drivers on the quite narrow roads.

Drove through here on our way to Durrus. There is something to see around every corner and the tunnels are amazing seeing they have been dug by hand. There aren't a lot of stopping places though
