We drove around the ring in an anti-clockwise direction and enjoyed the beautiful scenery around each corner! We decided to also drive around the Skellig ring while we were in the area; so glad we did! We called into Glenbeigh beach on the way round;...More

The Kerry Way, just by it's name, this must be a beautiful two day drive. We were driven around the The Kerry Way over two days. Really the best way to see this beautiful country side.

The Kerry Ring takes you through hypnotic landscape of lake studded glacial valleys and sea view. A highlight was the ferry to Skellig Island, great coffee in Knights Town and the lighthouse. The road is narrow and windy so steel your nerves.

Scenery along Ring of Kerry breathtaking along 2 lane roads. Skellig Islands, Portmagee, beaches, Atlantic views all awesome! Rock formations right up to road, sheep grazing, tunnel through rock.

The best parts of the Kerry Way are seen first if you go clockwise. Plus the buses go anticlockwise, wo you'll miss bumping in to huge numbers.

I do not advise walking the Kerry Way. Sorry - I do not have a guide book to recommend. I would suggest signing up for a local tour that include the Kerry Way.

There are many places to hop on and off this trail. One day we went from Glenbeigh, up onto the trail, around the mountain and came back down again at Rossbeigh beach. Total of about 6-7 miles. Another group went over the... More
