Went racing here last summer, the weather was beautiful, around 10 minute walk from the city centre,or you can travel in style and get a horse and carriage, probably would have been a lot different if the weather was bad, if the sun is out, it's a must

Traditionally May and July are the race meetings in Killarney, (though a third has recently) been added in June. Situated at Ireland's most picturesque racecourse with panoramic views of Loch Léin as well as McGillycuddy's Reeks, Ladie's Day in July is a popular fashion event at the races and the town's population swells during this most popular event. The pubs... More

Evening race meetings in Killarney are marvelous. When the horses race down the back straight it is hard not to be distracted by the awesome beauty in the background. One of the most scenic racecourses in the world. Always glamorous, it is one of the nicest outings.

My wife and I realized that opening day at the races fell in our vacation time and we knew we had to attend. After all, what could top off a trip to Ireland better than going to the horse races? We were not disappointed. Opening day is also "Mad Hat" day so there were lots of ladies both young and,... More

We originally booked a 'hospitality' package which included a carvery, but the rang us a few days before and changed it to a surf n turf bbq. The course was incredibly friendly, and as we were there as a couple they added us on to a table of visiting Americans which made for a very interesting and entertaining evening. The... More

Arrived in the rain on Ladies Day at the races. Enjoyed seeing the hats and watching the people inside. Stayed outside for one race as the wind was blowing and rainy

Always a joy to visit one of the most scenic racecourse in the world. It's compact, to walk around, from rail, to parade ring to bars etc. Great viewing track, against unique backdrop. Restaurant offers a good standard and selection of hot dishes, although the chowder was very tepid on 20.08.16! Would have taken it back, had I not been... More

Making money on an Irish racetrack could be considered a challenge ! lol. Hey no one does it better than the Irish, their love of horse flesh, gambling and having fun, makes this to be a most interesting day, event to enjoy.
