Here in March and there's not much of the wildlife here yet. But we took the safari boat trip around the reclaimed lake. There's a real emphasis on wildlife preservation and our guide Dave has huge knowledge on the local area and Irish flora and fauna. Very nice little shop to buy little presents for children or pocket money treats.... More

Lovely walking area. Outdoor seating and cafe also. Tours are available to the tower. Very scenic and calming. Very nice for a day out when the weather is good. Takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town

Easy to walk to from the town centre. There are lots of paths to walk around and the visitor centre has a gift shop, cafe, clean toilets and information leaflets etc. Well worth a visit. When we were there it certainly lived up to its wetlands title as it was sleeting heavily!

Lovely setting and good for families, nice playground for children with a boating area and board walk to stroll and birdwatching. Food in restaurant mediocre with fast turnover. Tables and chairs urgently require noise reduction pads to reduce the irritating scraping of chairs on solid floor, not nice. Simple solution would make it more inviting, and perhaps we could hear... The wetlands is a great place suitable for families, lovely walks around it, and inexpensive water activities suitable for families, gift shop and café available, or picnic tables are plenty, lovely place.

Chips (fries) they're cooking... More

My classmates and I visited Tralee for our school tour recently and our first stop was The Wetlands. Our teachers and us REALLY enjoyed it! One slightly disapointing thing was that we got very bad weather. The staff handled it very well and brought us umbrellas to stay dry and warm. The gift shop is also very good! The food... More

The whole family came here for a birthday and enjoyed a fantastic day. The children loved the mix of activities and the food which was all very fresh also went down very well. Quite reasonable prices and enthusiastic staff added to the overall enjoyment.
