If you are in Kilkenny, make sure to pay a visit to the castle. It is such an interesting place with great tour guides. We loved it and can't recommend it enough.

When in Kilkenny the castle is the must to visit. Great guided tour had at a good price per person. Patrick the guide was very informative!! Make sure you watch the history presentation pre the tour. Reason I didn't give 5 stars here is due to the cafe which unfortunately doesn't offer value for money. €3.95 for a danish pastry... More

We purchased two student tickets and took the tour around the rooms of the castle. The tour was quite good, the lady leading it did a good job at immersing us into life as the Butler family. Really liked the tapestry room and the library. The tour also felt interactive, we were quizzed on our knowledge of what certain items... More

I have visited the castle many times and every visit is a pleasure. The ticket is very reasonable and it is a local treasure.

Astonishing. Staffs were really helpful and informative. Must watch in Dublin. Better to be early. Not sure it was WheelChair friendly.

The most interesting is that you feel that there is something missing in the caste. After thinking for some time you realize that there is only three walls. One is missing!

Large and full of history. Only an 90-minute drive from Dublin. A must-see. The gardens, although not huge, are pretty.
