I wasn't expecting much out of this tour, as I had never heard of Smithwick's before going to Ireland, but I was blown away. It was the best brewery tour I've taken and was far more interesting than the Jameson or Guinness tours. The interactive experience was really neat, and you learn a lot about the history of Smithwick's and... More

An unexpected beautiful brewery. Our quirky tour guide was really knowledgable and was very informative. I enjoyed this tour more than Guinness for the local feel. It was an interactive experience with a delicious flight tasting at the end. The original beer is the best one!

The wife suggested the walking experience and off we went. The tour is 13 euro and there is a discount for students. Simon was our tour guide. He was excellent. The tour was very good and gave you and idea of early days of Smithwicks and what they had to overcome to make themselves what they are today. It is... More

Our tour guide was Colm and he was wonderful. We purchased tickets online (saved some $$ or rather Euro) and arrived for the 4PM tour. We had a group of 8 people with ages from 16 to 55. Everyone really enjoyed the tour, the history of Smithwick's, the Harry Potter room, and the tasting after the tour ended. We all... More

We have been to many beer tours, but this didn't really seem like one. I guess we should have taken the hint from the title of "experience ". You do not really see the beer being made, just watch short videos of how it is made the the history of the brewery. The guide was very knowledgeable and the beer... More

Absolutely brilliant experience. The tour guide was a lovely girl who was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Tells a lot about the local history and is not afraid to mention Ireland's history as part of the tour.

It all started with monks. There is a ton of history in these walls. The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge that he was eager to share with us. The tour itself was great. If you find yourself in Kilkenny, it's a must see. And it won't take you the whole day.

An entertaining, fun and insightful tour in to the history of the brewery, complete with a 'Hogwart's style' room where the pictures come to life. Our guide, Simon, was highly knowledgeable and had a great personality making the tour a fun time. The pint at the end, for me, was another highlight
