Regrettably, we did not spend any time within the great stone walls of this beautiful Gothic-styled structure. Nevertheless, we admired it every time we passed its regal verge. Its very location seems to stand apart, while repeatedly helping us to find our way from here to there in Limerick. One night, the enormous silvery full moon shown above St John’s... More

We visited Ireland in September, 2016 and stayed in Limerick for 5 days including a Sunday. In looking for a church to visit for Sunday morning services we found this lovely Church. It is very "photogenic" from the outside and the inside was very nice.

Historical church with an active parish and wonderful community in attendance. Walk there, go inside & light some candles.

Former church located in St John's square. Built in 1852 as a replacement for an much older church. The site goes back 800 years. Was being used by the Dagdha dance company. It seems to be closed now. Makes a nice photo op when in the square.
