They got as there as they promised; easy to book in advance. Not much in the way of service in Roonagh or at Clare Island, but they were friendly and helpful.

This is one of the nicest islands of the coast of Ireland, people are very friendly and the scenery and beaches are breathless. Well worth a day trip or a nights camping.

We travelled to Clare Island for the day with 2 babies in prams, the crew were very helpful, carrying the prams on to and off the ferry for us. The Ireland itself is beautiful for a walk around however there isn't much to do other...More

I was a little concerned but they got us there and back with no problems. It is a rough ride on certain days but we survived.

We went over on a wet and windy day. A real adventure and a great place to experience the West Coast of Ireland in reality.

some boats are faster than others but there are plenty. I advise that for the trip out you aim for the fast boat as it is exciting and glamorous; matters less on the way home when we had the slower one as we were tired...More

I booked by phone and email from uk with Brian O'Grady for our family of 27 to make a day trip to Clare Island. We turned up to see our party name on the booking cabin door. No hitches and a most enjoyable day.

Hi, There is no street address, but it is at Roonagh Pier. There are signs to Roonagh from Westport and also coming from south of Roonagh. Just google it and you will see it on a map. It is a bit out in the country.

Where is the area where we embark and can we get there via public transport? Are there seats (this is necessary)? Thank you. Mary McCole

Hi, The pier is about 30 min. From Westport. It is rather remote and, to my knowledge there is no public transport. You could probably get a cab. There were a limited number of seats on the ferry. You mention seats are... More
