Myself and the 2 kids had a lovely afternoon on the boat. It was quiet so the captain took the kids onto the bridge, let them wear his hat and he even sent for my phone so he could take pictures. It was a miserable rainy July afternoon but he made Lough Gill, the scenery and Yeats poetry come alive... More

I was looking forward to bringing my group of Seniors on the cruise on Wednesday last, I knew they'd love George with his charming and easy account of places of interest bordering Lough Gill. Sure enough, it was a most enjoyable experience. He told jokes, recited some of Yeats work, and led the singing of "The Isle of Innisfree" The... More

A quiet, overcast morning at Parke castle, my husband and I were hoping the boat would go out(they need a minimum of 4) and thankfully a group of 4 showed up as well. So just a small group but George was a fantastic skipper. It was a beautiful way to spend the morning listening to the stories, the music and his... More

Took the 1 hour cruise from Parke's Castle with the family (hubby, myself, 13, 11 and 7 yo). There were a group of noisy youngsters on boards so it was hard to hear the skipper initially. He was really interesting and full of knowledge. He was also very patient with the youngsters and let a few of them steer as... More

Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience of our tour. Sorry we didn't have your favourite tipple on board, we do keep a limited range of stock just due to the nature of the business. Glad you got to hear the commentary properly in the end. Always welcome to return on another trip, when maybe there are... More

A lovely way to spent two hours - listening to George ( skipper ) reciting WB Yeats as you meander across Lough Gill - if you're in the Sligo area it's a must do. Ps thanks George for letting me take the wheel 😉

We took the boat trip in late July. Due to rainy weather, we had to sit downstairs for most of the tour. The commentary was difficult to hear at times, with the sound being patchy on occasion - it was much better up on deck for the few minutes we got to spend up there. We (two adults) felt 15... More

Sorry to hear you didn't have the best experience on your trip. Unfortunately we cannot control the weather but we would like our passengers to have the best time they can on board. The weather can put a dampener on things, but being fully enclosed means your comfort shouldn't be affected too much. The family rate works out very well... More
