Beautiful beaches, lots of waves to surf and lots of protected areas, but not being a camper, not a place I’d like to stay!

One of the prettiest beaches in Ireland and very popular for all as it has great parking, is safe and has stunning views all around it.

We didn't get to spend too much time here but the little bit we did was beautiful. The shipwrecks provided fascinating sites.

If you've taken the time to visit Yeats' grave in nearby Drumcliff, be sure to make a detour to include a visit to Ross's Point, There is a Coast Guard Station with an impressive statue, and a nice "loop" walk along the water.

Just a feast for the eyes! The sun was shining and the wind blowing but it was warm! Just think of all those who left —kind of sad!

We spent an evening in the Sligo area and watched the sunset from Rosses point upon recommendation of the hotel front desk staff. This is definitely one of the nice and scenic place around Sligo together with the Strandhill beach

This beach is a fine strip of sand with a golf course beside it and Ben Bulben looming in the background. It feels comparatively isolated. I sat on a rock and read “Sailing To Byzantium”. Sand blows in eddies to the sea.

There is a short path to the beach from the car park but it's a steep hill down, it might be quite difficult for anyone with limited mobility.
