This was a great happen upon. My husband & I sat in the back by the fireplace listing to the locals laugh it up & sharing stories. If your lucky enough, Sam the owners dog might share his bench with you. He was very sweet & we didn't mean to chase him off but he preferred the bench to himself.... More

After hearing about this pub from a few others, we walked around until we found it. It was a long and narrow pub with a fireplace area in the back. He says he had the best pour of Guinness and it was fantastic.

We travelled through Ireland in September/October of 2016 and spent three nights in Sligo. Really loved this town! And Shoot the Crows was one of the best evenings of our five-week trip. Excellent ale in hand, we perched our bottoms on a bench in from of a group of musicians playing amazing music and had a tremendous time. The place... More

Was in the Crowe the other evening with my wife. The place was really busy but we needed help selecting the right whiskey as neither of us are experts. Even though he was really busy the barman Mark took a little time between serving everyone to keep coming back to us and finding the right thing for us. The place... More

Loved the decor, the atmosphere and the music was great. The owner really knows what he's doing. The four of us had a Very enjoyable time there. It was filled and the place was buzzing.

A fine example of a real Irish pub. A nice craft beer from the White Hag Brewery. Open fire and live music from 10pm. A place to visit on any trip to Sligo.

Shoot the Crows is without doubt my favourite pub in Ireland. I've been going here ever since I was a student in the 1990's and even though I haven't lived in Sligo in almost two decades, I always enjoy a night out here when in Sligo. The atmosphere is always great with a friendly chatty crowd with good beers. Love... More

It's as authentic as it could be. Walking in this pub is like entering a time warp. A must visit to mingle with the locals and have a drink, or two... or even three!

When the Irish made pubs this is what they had in mind. Long may the tradition last. A fine old pub with loads of character, craic and friendly banter. The staff are nice, the drink is no different from anywhere else - the difference is the atmosphere and the buzz generated within its walls. Authentic Irish pub here and no... More
