Iconic pub, extensive menu and the food we ordered was top quality. COVID Certs were checked on entry, masks were worn whilst walking around and atmosphere felt very safe. Staff were superb. Great experience and good value. Thank you.

We went into pub out of the rain. This is a beautiful traditional pub with booths and 3-4 rooms extending down through the pub. We had only went in for a drink but got hungry an had a lovely meal it was very busy even for a Thursday.

As decor goes old style traditional Irish pubs have wood panelled walls, snugs, alcoves, stone floors, Tilly lamps hanging, enamel advertising from yesteryear and the distant hum of last nights great craic. Add to that the expected darkness of such places and you’re ‘on the set’ of some Hollywood blockbuster based in Ireland.
The beers are a great mix of traditional Irish mixed with a few obscure local brews. Whiskey: A top shelf of worthy winners. Also a gin corner for the modern drinking fashionistas.
In conclusion a top notch pub serving top notch drinks to a discerning yet luck few. Cheers 🍻

Good food when I eventually received it after a long long wait (35 mins ). When I discreetly told a blonde lady front of house that I was running short on time I was met with an impatient lecture on the ins and outs of how a busy commercial kitchen works ! A simple ‘I’ll go and check ‘would have sufficed !

I went for the bargain "3 course" lunch. Soup, tuna sandwich and Cheesecake.
I got a thimble full of soup...a Tony tuna roll and some gunk in a tiny jam pot passing for dessert. I paid €10 for this. A waste of money. ...still hungry 😕

After being told to go here by some friends we came across Hargadons as very happy and hungry customers. We were sat in a great area and with no one around us on what seemed a quiet night I was sure that we would have no problems. After the tables around us started to fill up we were quite content knowing that we had already ordered our one starter which was the a plain Caesar salad to share and the lamb stew as well as the Gnocchi for the mains. After I noticed that all the tables around us were getting their food before us which was especially surprising because we had one plain Caesar salad to share. I decided to get up and say something and noticed the salad sitting on top of the kitchen pass which had clearly been ignored for what looked like 20 minutes. To be fair when she finally brought it as I was pointing for 5 minutes we thought it would taste warm and bland but was actually very good still. Me and my wife are both waiters so we know what it means to forget and be busy and have an understanding for mistakes but we were then ignored for almost 30 minutes with empty water and our stacked plates hanging off the edge of the table ready to be collected. I noticed one of the tables that came in after we had ordered was already paying the bill. It was then I decided to ask for our next course to a waiter standing near us. Food comes and made us forget exactly why we’re annoyed to begin with and it was honestly very good. Time for the bill and at this point I feel like I work here because I have to keep getting up to help them notice they have forgotten us for almost an hour. Needless to say I think they need extra staff but 100% compliments to the chefs.

Called in here for a drink recently, quite busy and quirky old world Irish. Plenty seating. The Guinness was excellent but the barman was unsure about what gins he had, except to point to a shelf full ,but with no advice on any and with only two tonic waters!! A place to visit for the Guinness alone.

Was recommended to go the Hargadons after being at Sligo races. It was a good call, the place was busy with live entertainment on. The small bar was well staffed so there was never a long wait to get served. A mixed crowd of locals and visitors were enjoying the post racing craic. It is the best Guinness in Sligo.

You could choose to sit in one of the old fashioned snugs and we opted for one by the front window. Such a quaint place, and it was if we had stepped back in time. The staff helped us regarding the menu and my cousin and I opted to share the chowder, served with the most delicious bread, and the sea bass. Both were excellent. We will definitely visit again soon hopefully
