Forget Niagra - come to Co. Waterford - hop in the hire car and take the scenic drive up to Mahon Falls. Give thanks for the fascinating dude flogging the coffee from a renovated 70s caravan #classicmomentklaxon The walk up was fairly bracing (remind me,...More

We arrived at the falls yesterday afternoon around 16:30, the weather was cool and a light breeze was blowing in from the Atlantic, broken cloud and blue skies. The walk to the falls is around 2 k.m. over a good quality gravel path. If I...More

After a short drive in the narrow roads, we reached a car park which is about 1-2 km away from the falls, not difficult to conquer. The falls are nice, not that big, but will serve the purpose and give the kids an enjoyable time.

Picturesque drive on the way up. Very accessible walk to the base of the falls, not too challenging going up. Men, women and children of all ages were having a go. Looks like something you'd expect to see in Game of Thrones!

A bit long for the three year old. You'll be carrying him/her most of the way. It's up and down but a very good path.
