Watch outt for blue and white plaques on buildings commemorating famous people born in the city. Watch out for the giant chess men in Cathederal Square. Traveling from the US, we were told Waterford is one of the oldest cities in Ireland. With that in mind we saw it for what it was - a great, old town. We liked the quaintness and history. The triangle was neat and there are some nice photo ops within it.

This area is entertwined with regular buildings. It's all run down and has construction scaffoldings all over it. You can't really see anything. No good shops or restaurants. A total wast of time.
