As a major Religious building this is less impressive than many of the churches which dot Ireland. It appears to be misplaced in the shopping district of the city but as with all churches worth a visit.

This Cathedral is on the main shopping street in Waterford. It is not that imposing from the outside, but the inside is a real surprise. It is huge, bright with a wonderful working tradition period working Organ above the main entrance in the Organ gallery....More

Quite a cavernous church, with a wide, flat facade. Hoowver, some of the decorative touches inside, especially around the pillars, are very attractive.

This is the oldest and most beautiful Catholic Cathedral in Waterford and possibly in Ireland. It's architecture is amazing and it's just beautiful and special.

Although not catholic we visited this site and even attended mass. The inside structure was much more impressive than the outside. Would have loved to understood the significance of the outside statues.

Built during Henry 8th reign, he allow the church to be built but only if it did not look like a church on the outside. It's beautiful inside.
