This was an excellent experience for us - since many of our ancestors came from Ireland during the famine, it was a powerful experience for us and gave us a glimpse into the horrors of the journey.

Great tour which started with a sit down atmospheric video. Then Jason the tour guide led us onto the ship to explain to us the goings on and the actors played their parts really well - funny, but sad at the same time. They only mentioned about how the famine was caused by the blight on the potatoes, wrecking the... More

We toured the Dunbrody Famine Ship in New Ross recently, as part of our CIE Tour of Ireland. It was very interesting to see how the immigrants had to live while escaping the famine in Ireland. A large percentage of those people died due to illness and the bad conditions aboard the ships. There were two women dressed in period... More

Good cheap parking nearby with nice river walks. The ship is in good condition and worth a visit if you have never been on a similar ship before.

The experience is extremely good and so too is the food in the restaurant on the second floor, which over looks the ship. I've visited the restaurant several times and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Recommend big time.

We visited here with my Mother last week. It was very interesting and the team will brought the experience of boarding and being on the famine ship alive. It was interesting to see all the famous Irish Americans also. I would highlight recommend a visit. Good cafe also and Superb views over the river
