This is a small interesting museum. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The Sulphur well talk was very interesting, not sure how people (in the past) could drink the water, the smell was bad enough!

This is the perfect size of museum for me: enough of interest for maybe an hour. The information is displayed free of charge- none of this giving you a few words free and trying to upsell you to a guidebook for a fiver- and there's lots of interest here related to the heritage of wells in Harrogate and the baths... We had an amazing time, the staff were helpful and the facilities were brilliant. We had lots of fun and made some new friends. The baths were hot, the cold plunge pool was freezing- there was a lot of loud squeals as we all got in. But fun and relaxation was had by all.

Definitelyl worth the visit. It is only small but full of interest and in Sulphur Well Room they have costumes you can try on to see what it was like in the day...We didn't but few did.. Staff very pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you x

The pump rooms are where those well heeled aristocrats and members of the Nouveau Riche, came to take the strongest sulphurous waters in Europe! The building was constructed as a means of shelter for the visitors who came in substantial numbers from across the UK and even from Russia with Tsarina Alexandra visiting in 1911, just 6 years before meeting... The museum was closed on the Sunday we visited but we're so glad we returned the following day, smallish museum but lots to see and the tour down to the wells very interesting and the museum guide was very knowledgeable and funny. £4 to get in, great value I'd say.

Don't miss this little gem. Beautiful building, condensed info and a view of the sulphur spring. Really interesting local history of Harrogate. Lovely staff. Go!
