Lovely gardens with lots of colour even in mid march. Betty's tea room does a good trade and is well worth a visit.

What do you think about this picture from the other side? The only thing that would make me better is to add more levels to the game

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon here, wandering around the gardens. Despite the time of year, there was lots of colour in the garden - spring bulbs, heathers and a great display of Cornus. The alpine house was a particular treat - well worth the visit! Their garden book section in their shop is the finest I've seen.

We cannot praise this gardens enough, any time of year gives something interesting to see. The small exhibit this spring showing how front gardens can be more kind to wildlife and the environment, whilst still providing parking surfaces was both innovative and helpful. We love Harlow carr!!

Watching spring emerge was a treat. Precede or follow your visit with a meal at Betty's which was just lovely.

It is just is not possible to take-in all the pleasures of this RHS garden area situated on the edge of Harrogate. I have lived in this Yorkshire town for 41 years and return again and again because no matter what the season there is always something new to see. There are wonderful layouts of colorful and different planted areas,... More

We visit Harlow Carr regularly as we have an annual pass. It's great as we can just pop down for a few hours. There is lots to see all year round and in the school holidays they run special activities for the children. My youngest son has also been on a school trip - I went as a helper and... More

They also have a winter garden, full of colour and flowers which is worth a look. The Alpine House is great, if your not sure what you can do with Alpines, go look you will be a... More
