The Aeropark is both an aviation museum and a viewing area where you can study the preserved planes of yesteryear or watch the modern airliners of today taking-off and landing at a growing international passenger and cargo airport.

Within the Aeropark there is a viewing mound where the top of the viewing mound is just 170 meters north of the main east/west runway of the airport.

The Aeropark at East Midlands Airport is located in the north-west corner of the Airport site close to the village of Castle Donington. It is well signposted from the Airport's main entrance.

With all the positive reviews, I was expecting more, but wasn't overly impressed. The entrance fee is quite reasonable, at £4 per adult, but I didn't think the planes were in that good a condition. We had the opportunity to visit the cockpit of a Vanguard 953C, but the only other plane open was a VC10, for which there was... More

A museum of Aircraft and a bank on which to view aircraft at the adjacent EMA taking off. A Vulcan is parked here together with a number of other full size aircraft and parts of other planes.

We went on the cockpit open day in August, Sunday the 14th i think. We got to go in the cockpits of many planes, and were greeted by friendly people. They gave us a tour and an information session. There is also many places to view planes taking off and landing, inside the park. There is a cafe where you... More

I took my grandchildren, 12 & 10, today and we spent around 2 hours here. We would have stayed longer but the sun was cooking us and we weren't prepared. I thought there would only be a handful of people here but I was wrong, there were families of all generations with picnics. The enthusiasm and excitement by all grown... More

The Air Force that is. Well mainly, a motley collection of some of the finest aircraft ever built circa 1950 to 80 when we had the capability to deter if needed and even inflict a bloody nose to any foreign upstarts who threatened the Empire.....and a few sullen bits of other planes, long dead and more of a curiosity, just...
