First visit here with the children and although we didn't see a lot of it due to us getting here late in the day I cannot really find anything much to complain about.
Parking charges are quite steep (as with a lot of places). I...More
Derby is very lucky to have Markeaton Park, in public hands since it was gifted to the council in the early part of last century.
A great family place with crazy golf, children's play area, paddle pools, miniature train and go-karts in one area, and...More
good size car park do not forget to buy pay and display ticket, parking officers patrol this area, this is a good sized park with nice play areas for the children, an oasis of calm take a picnic and enjoy.

Parked fine by the play centre. Paddling pool and canoeing lake particularly looked disgustingly dirty. Play areas are a mix of differing areas broadly grouped age appropriately. The pirate ship is a nightmare to keep an eye on where your child is. Most parents don't...More

Following legal advice we do not give permission for drones to fly within the city’s parks and open spaces. This is due to concerns over the potential risks which can arise from the use of drones, potential accidents, privacy and security issues.
We have considered the approach of other Local Authorities, some of which have a policy of not allowing drones to be flown over their parks and open spaces.
We will continue to review our approach to this issue as the law and the technology in this area develops further.
The approach of different local authorities does vary and you could try contacting Derbyshire County Council and other local authorities.
