I was staying just up the road and had 3 meals in the pub, all were cooked and presented well. The prices were good and the drinks were cheaper than I am used to so was very happy. The owner was very pleasant, and the...More

Had the best Sunday carvery ever. All fresh veg and meat, loads to choose from. French peas were delicious. Chef and landlady were very welcoming. Prices very reasonable. Definitely one to try.

Hoped to enjoy a lovely carvery on Christmas day, made us sick to the stomach... the staff did not have their hair tied up, which spotted our eyes of a long hair in the Brussels and an eyelash in the starter! and the plates were...More

4 of us ate here and were all happy with our meals. Not the greatest but well cooked, plenty of it and enjoyable. 4 meals and 4 sweets for £47 was a real bargain. Straight forward down to earth pub. No pretensions.
