Excellent walks around the country park. Being local I walk around the reservoir regularly with my husky. There is a cafe which does not usually open until 10am but from experience is not dog friendly.

Superb for walking sailing, and excellent stabling and horse riding at horrobin farm . The parking off horrobin lane is good although in winter it's icy and full of deep potholes. The walkways are well maintained and reservoir is generally full except for the odd dry...More

Decent walk of over 2 miles around this drinking water reservoir. Sailing club by the side of the reservoir. Opposite side to the sailing club is a nice little cafe.

We regularly go to Jumbles, it is a lovely walk with a great cafe and lots of side walks. There are lots of places to explore.

Jumbled is a pleasant walk around a reservoir not to testing wheelchair and prams access for most of your walk. There is no wheelchair access where you have to walk across the country trails, but other than that the access is very good.

It is a little under 3 miles to walk round the reservoir, with good paths. It's advisable to wear suitable footwear for walking, as the paths are a little uneven. There are two car parks, one off Bradshaw Road and the other off Chapeltown Road,...More

I agree, not really the place for a BBQ. A picnic would be ok but we use the little cafe near the car park.

I believe a skeleton bus service passes the top of the jumbles. You could ring Bury / Bolton bus station for details of buses Good luck
