A lovely walk round a beautiful country park & reservoir, it is such a pity that the enjoyment is spoiled by one or two irresponsible dog owners, who either fail completely to clean up after their pet, or just as bad leave little plastic wrapped...More

Great, like revisiting an old friend, nothing's changed but if you want to slow your pace of life down then clasp your hands behind your back and meander along with your thoughts, at the end of your walk, if you're anything like me you will...More

Lovely walk. We visited with parents and dogs this time but have been with kids since toddlers to teens and still enjoyable. One area passes a quiet road but the rest is good for dogs off lead. Many places to access the water. Nice scenery...More

Jumbles is a good spot to park before heading off for a walk, either just around the reservoir or further afield to the moors and beyond.

I agree, not really the place for a BBQ. A picnic would be ok but we use the little cafe near the car park.
Does anyone know if there is a regular bus service (coming/going central Bolton) stopping here? Am hoping to visit with my young child but haven't had much luck searching online.

I believe a skeleton bus service passes the top of the jumbles. You could ring Bury / Bolton bus station for details of buses Good luck
