Had a great walk in the area around three reservoirs including through the park. It is mostly flat but near to the café there are steep steps which probably have a height of 40-50 feet. There were lots of lovely Bluebells covering the ground like...More

Lovely walk. We visited with parents and dogs this time but have been with kids since toddlers to teens and still enjoyable. One area passes a quiet road but the rest is good for dogs off lead. Many places to access the water. Nice scenery...More

Jumbles is a good spot to park before heading off for a walk, either just around the reservoir or further afield to the moors and beyond.

I love the walk around here in summer, the swans, ducks and geese are great to observe. Can get busy on the warmer days but definitely still worth the visit

With the majority of the walk on the flat this walk is suitable for all ages. There is one section that involves quite a number of steps down, followed by a steepish incline (depending which way you approach) but once out of the way the...More

This is a lovely place to walk round with children or dogs as you can sit by the water after your walk and have a drink or ice cream at the small cafe.

Typical reservoir walk along good paths (some tarmac, most crushed stone.) Whichever way from the carpark, you start or finish with a steep uphill from Bradshaw Brook. Great scenery of the Pennine moors, Can get busy at weekends/good weather. Wheelchair accessibility with a little difficulty...More

Rode from canon Slade school up Bradshaw brook. Cycled through jumbles - beautiful in spring sunshine. Continued upstream to wayho resovoir and the one beyond. Cycled back via turton over the moors. Beautiful ride.

This is a nice place for a walk. We like to go round the reservoir with our son. Unfortunately the last couple of times we've been there's been so much dog muck about its put me off going again. I understand it's a great spot...More

I agree, not really the place for a BBQ. A picnic would be ok but we use the little cafe near the car park.

I believe a skeleton bus service passes the top of the jumbles. You could ring Bury / Bolton bus station for details of buses Good luck
