We spent a couple of hours looking around at the magnificent rescued machinery on one of the `steaming days`. Good level access for those with mobility restrictions. Very good information from the excellent volunteers. A free to visit museum, donations at your discretion are appreciated.More

Terrific steam engines from the cotton spinning industry - mostly 19th century and at least one astonishing still working from the 1840s. The volunteers who work there are enthusiastic and expert with endless patience for ignorant visitors. If you are anywhere near Bolton - go!
