Great for a picnic or a kick about. Big open space with benches then a short stroll down to the river where you will see canoeing weir's for canoeing enthusiast. If that's not your thing there are very pretty walks with wildlife along the river. This is also a good place to go fishing.

Good size car park but you do have to pay. Toilets are by the car park but as usual they are not exactly lovely. The are consists of a large green are and a child's play area. It goes down to the river Medway where you can watch boats going through a lock. There are walks leading from the main... More

Went along for the kite weekend so was busy. Wandered along the path by the river and past the locks to the Highland Cattle. Big space for playing games with the kids and there was an ice cream van onsite. Lots of families were obviously in for the long haul with tents, bbqs and lots of kit. We purely went... More

My Nieces husband set up a surprise birthday party for her, I was unsure of the location but once there it was fab. We were allowed to erect gazebos and have a bbq, there were lots of family's there on the day some also having birthday parties, there was bbq's galore with the green fields and the river running by... Initially we were not impressed. It's not a huge park and we were 20 odd family intended for a barbecue and picnic. There were quite a lot of families with the same idea. It turned out to be good weather and we had a good time. Luckily we had food as there is only an ice cream van if you... More

I came across this park when I moved the Maidstone 6 months ago and now visit at least once a week. It is a popular park for families with bbq's a frequent occurrence. The park offers a great p[lay area for the children along with plenty of benches for the picnics that we take with us. Great open spaces for... More
