Having visited the theatre many times the improvements that have been made make for an overall good night out. Good facilities include a cafe, easy accessible toilets and easy access to the auditorium. The seats are comfortable and the hand rails give extra help for those who may need help going up or down the stars in the auditorium. A... More

My husband and I have visited this theatre for many years and will continue to do so as they offer first class entertainment for a reasonable price. Last night we saw The Dublin Legend and two weeks ago we enjoyed The Fureys. In May we will be back to see All Folk'd Up and if you like Irish music and... More

This is a lovely light bright space which is very popular due to the very tasty cakes and very friendly helpful staff. Very busy and all the people around us were enjoying their food and leaving empty plates - always a good sign. My friend had a big piece of fruit cake which was very rich and moist. She really... Visited the re-branded Core theatre to see a Roy Orbison tribute act which was excellent value as was the show. The choice of colours for the walls around the toilets area is pretty awful and it was a shame that having installed an upstairs bar it was not in use on this particular evening. The theatre is a good size and is... To even find a clear table at which to sit was impossible. We cleared one ourselves. But the chairs had food on too. Good choice of hot snacks on the menu, spuds, paninis, toasties. Order at the bar, they are delivered to your table. Tired salad, not much filling, inadequate for the price but I won't return. On the plus... More

The coffee shop is at the entrance to the library, I would say considering it has only recently had a make over, purple & white throughout, it sadly missed the opportunity to make the coffee area inviting to come into, it looks like a cheap old fashioned greasy spoon cafe. Its open no cosy areas to have a private chat,... More

Peter Aliss was very good and really funny, I grew up watching him and he didn't let us down tonight. The theatre itself is very good and the seats are really comfy, lights and sound also very good. Drink prices fair and not too expensive. I would definitely go back to see a show.

I have visited this venue for years and have even trod the boards here a few times! It is unfortunate that the auditorium is more like a lecture theatre but nevertheless you get past that and it is actually a super venue! My most recent visit was to see KOS perform my all time favourite musical Chess. The Company, crew... More

Always offering a wide choice to suit most tastes in live entertainment. The main auditorium is comfortable, offering good visibility in all seats, the smaller, Studio less comfortable but more intimate. The refurbished refreshment area is an unusual choice of decor but provides all that is needed.
