I would recommend this beautiful park to anyone. Great scenery usually apart from one particular time when I noticed two teens at it. I don’t know what this park has turned into but it isn’t a destination to reinact porn! Keep to the bed next...More

I would not advise bringing children here unless you’re wanting to see some people doing dirty things in the bush. I was so disgusted, I looked around me in shock at the act which was happening until I heard a loud gasp from the boy...More

Went for a walk here. Walked across the bridge to the other side of the river ribble and I kid you not I saw two people going at it in the bush. Absolutely disgusting will not go here again.

These parks are areas of outstanding beauty in my opinion. There so well maintained and I always love going to them. It’s better to walk from town though as there is literally no where to park nearby unless you go to south meadow lane but...More

Best parks in Preston, plenty of walking and children play areas. Care needs to be taken on the walkway next to the river which is part of the circular route around the City, as some cyclists ride far to fast near walkers.

Wide open spaces for the younger and older kids to run round. Very scenic for budding photographers. Good cafe for drinks and snacks and to shelter from rain. Variety of wildlife alongside the river Ribble passing both adjacent parks.

There are no fixed facilities there and I don't know the regulations regarding portable barbecues.. Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps you could contact the town hall or local tourist information.
