First through Miller's park which was very clean and lovely then a walk through avenham park which was again very clean, very nice walk through. Would definitely go again and again.

We had excellent weather and spent a long afternoon strolling around the park which we enjoyed especially the longer walks that start from the park.

Lovely to see so many families enjoy the beautiful open spaces. Cyclists, dog walkers, families with children enjoying the views, the flowers and the river. Cafe popular too. Close to city centre yet quiet and peaceful.

Not that I know off but Check the cafe as you walk along the river.

Yes there's also a large playground in between Miller park and avenham park just follow the path down the river past the bridge and it will appear on your left

There are no fixed facilities there and I don't know the regulations regarding portable barbecues.. Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps you could contact the town hall or local tourist information.
