A challenging drive, especially at night, with cattle grids and (we experienced) very poor satnav & signs directions at the north end; but amazing to see such vast open moorland

Driving through the Trough scares the pants off people who are only familiar with modest landscapes but the views make it all worthwhile. Wonderful areas along the way for picnics.
